Christian Copyright Solutions (CCS) is a division of Righteous Oaks Music, Inc., a leader for more than 13 years in the business of Christian music publishing, copyright administration and management. CCS started in 2001 as Church Copyright Administration (CCA) helping churches like Pastor Rick Warren’s 25,000-member Saddleback Church. Our church client base grew so much that in 2005, we began developing a custom online application to automate and streamline the labor-intensive copyright clearance process for our staff and clients. CopyrightSolver™ was launched in April, 2006 and immediately allowed our client base to expand and grow beyond the church walls, providing solutions for camps, ministries, producers, studios, media directors and indie artists/songwriters with copyright needs. To reflect the expansion of our services, CCA changed its name to Christian Copyright Solutions in fall 2008.
We are dedicated to providing our clients with accessible, online administration, consultation and education through services like PermissionsPlus, the WorshipCast License, and PerformMusic License, as well as informational materials for download at our Education Center. CCS collaborates with strategic allies to develop new one-stop, streamlined solutions for complex copyright issues. In fall 2006, we finalized agreements with ASCAP, BMI and SESAC (the U.S. performance rights organizations) to create the WorshipCast License—a one-stop license that allows churches and non-profit religious organizations to legally webcast their own song internet performances. In August 2008, CCS launched the new onsite facility PerformMusic License—also a one-stop license from ASCAP, BMI and SESAC—allowing churches and non-profit religious organizations to perform and play up to 16 million works on their premises.
CCS Founder/CVO, Susan Fontaine Godwin (MS Education) offers more than 24 years of professional copyright experience and leadership. The CCS staff is comprised of copyright administration and music publishing veterans, who have the heart and expertise to help and serve our clients’ commitment to integrity in honoring copyrights.
